This year in writer's workshop we are using our new reading series - Houghton Mifflin Journeys. I love how this series starts with simple things like labeling. For
the past 2 weeks, we have been working on drawing and labeling our
pictures with nouns for people and nouns for places. Here are some pictures of our writing.
So how is your writer's workshop going?
Oooh, good concept for the kiddos. It's something important but one of those things, in first, that we just have to fit in somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI love first grade writing. I had a girl today write about a fish getting away from an aligator and wrote 'fyou'. I was puzzled so I asked her...it was 'phew'. Haha. Love it.
