Long Time...No Post!
I know it has been a while since I have made a blog post but there has been so much going on in my personal life. My daughter, M fell about 3 weeks ago and was badly injured. She required major surgery and I wasn't able to think about anything but her. We are very blessed and she is making a great recovery thanks to a great deal of prayers and some wonderful doctors! Needless to say our family has so much to be thankful for this year.
I am just so grateful that Miss M is still with us for this Thanksgiving. She is definitely an amazing little girl!

Turkey Talk
Well I only have 2 days of school this week and then we are off for Thanksgiving break. I am so excited to have 5 days off with my sweet M. She is growing so quickly and I can't believe she is already 6 months old! She now has 2 teeth and is chewing on everything in sight. My afternoons are now busier than ever spending time with her so I don't have as much time for blogging anymore but I do still enjoy it when I get the chance.
In school news, my kinders have been working on letter sounds, phoneme blending, counting to 100 by ones and tens, 2D and 3D shapes, and comparing objects by their length, weight, etc. I have a low group this year and these skills are giving them more trouble than my kinders normally have. I am hoping their little lightbulbs will start popping on after the break!

Friday Freebie: Thanksgiving Counting Sheet
Happy Friday friends! I feel terrible for being such a bad blogger lately so I am sharing a fun freebie with you this Friday while I am heading to my graduate class.
I created this counting sheet to use as morning work with my kinders but you could also use it as homework or a math review.
You can download this activity sheet on TpT. Please leave me some feedback if you download. Thanks so much!
Now if I can get through the 2 days next week, we will have 5 days off for Thanksgiving! Can't wait!!

I am so thankful!
I have been thinking this week about how thankful I am for all the blessings in my life. I have a wonderful husband and a great life for which I am grateful each and every day. I am thankful for my parents who raised me to be the person I am today. I am thankful for my extended family and in-laws who mean so much to me. I have a great group of coworkers on my kindergarten team who are always willing to help out when I need advice. I have such a sweet class of 22 kinderkids this year and the list could continue to go on... so I am posing this question: What are you thankful for?
I am linking up with What a Teacher Wants for their linky party. Hope you will visit!

Favorite Thanksgiving Books
Teaching Blog Addict and Learning with Mrs. Parker are having linky parties about our favorite books for teaching about Thanksgiving. I love teaching about Thanksgiving so of course I have quite a few favorite books. My top 4 would be: The Great Turkey Race, The Amazing Turkey Rescue, Thanksgiving is For Giving Thanks, and Thanks for Thanksgiving. The first two books are so much fun and the kids always want them to be read over and over. I hope you will try a few of these in your classroom as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am looking forward to teaching about Thanksgiving over the next couple of weeks. Here are some of the games I am using in my classroom. I hope you can use them too!
I created this math game to help my kinderkids practice matching numerals and quantities. I printed it on cardstock and laminated to make it last.

This is a game for my intervention group to practice matching uppercase and lowercase letters. I printed it on cardstock and laminated to make it last.
This game is a matching game using rhyming pictures. I plan to use it as a memory/concentration style game within my small groups. I printed it on cardstock and laminated to make it last.
